SVEC is one of the area’s largest taxpayers

  

 

SVEC president/CEO, Bob Matheny and local board members presented ad valorem tax checks to the trustee in each county we serve. The total for 2004 was $694,221.54. Sequachee Valley Electric Cooperative recently made payments of $694,221.54 in ad valorem taxes to city and county governments in eight counties in its service center. These payments represent taxes for lines, buildings, equipment and all other facilities necessary to provide electric service to SVEC’s residential and commercial member-owners.
