Since December 1998, members have had the option to contact the cooperative after hours by calling a toll-free number (in addition to the regular daytime and after hours phone numbers).

Call 1-888-421-7832,

Your calls are answered by the Cooperative Response Center, a cooperative that specializes in after hours response and serves over 150 cooperatives across the country.

CRC operators and dispatchers have the ability to answer multiple calls, respond to power outages, answer questions about upcoming cooperative events, and take information on right-of-way, security lights and maintenance problems for SVEC after normal business hours. To assist CRC in special circumstances, a SVEC supervisor is on-call 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

"Members can be assured that CRC will get the necessary information and relay it to us as soon as possible so we can respond quickly," says Bob Matheny, SVEC President/CEO. "We want to better serve our members and we feel like CRC understands their needs and ours."

In April of 2001, CRC celebrated the grand opening of its new regional call center.

In May of 2006, CRC broke ground on a new facility in the Sequachee Valley Industrial Park in Dunlap as they celebrated that center's 5th Anniversary.

CRC currently employs 20 local people.

CRC's Dunlap location serves the southern region, providing call center and dispatch services.
