SVEC truck signs stolen

SVEC contractor truck signs stolen

This morning our right-of-way/herbicide contractor had two magnetic signs stolen off the doors of his truck. The signs contained the words “Contractor Working For SVEC" adhered to a white magnetic backing. The contractor was in the Palmer area, near Stagecoach Road in Grundy County, but the thieves could travel to another area if they intend to cause harm.

The thieves who stole the signs may have intentions of using them to DECEIVE OUR MEMBERS into thinking they are associated with SVEC. The Grundy County Sheriff's Office has been notified.

If you are approached by someone who claims to be working for SVEC, know that:

  • We never ask to enter a member's home (employees nor contractors)
  • All field personnel carry their employee badge
  • All field personnel wear the appropriate uniform while in the field
  •  All SVEC trucks will have a vehicle number near the front of the truck

If you are approached by someone claiming to work for SVEC and have any questions, call your local SVEC office immediately. If you see the stolen signs, please notify police or call your local SVEC office so we can alert the authorities. Also, please notify your friends and family who are not on social media, we do not want anyone scammed or harmed by the thieves.
