Daniel Davenport

Daniel Davenport was elected in June of 2002 to represent SVEC members in Sequatchie County. He assumed the responsibilities of the position during the board meeting which followed the Annual Meeting of the Membership, August 3 2002.

As a new board member, Davenport stated  that his goals were, “To inform members of changes in policies and procedures and to give members an avenue to address issues of concern.” “ I want to see the county, community and co-op working together as one,” he continued.

Davenport, a native of Sequatchie County is a graduate of Sequatchie County High School and Chattanooga State. He received an Associates Degree in Business Management with an aviation option and later earned his pilot’s license from Spartan School of Aeronautics in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was awarded instrument, commercial, flight instructor and airline transport pilot ratings in Chattanooga. 

For the past 14 years, he has flown commercial aircraft for various companies. He is presently employed by McKenzie Management Company of Chattanooga as chief pilot over its flight department. 

Davenport and his wife  Stacey, have two children, Brittany and Allison They are members of the Ewtonville Baptist Church.
In his free time he enjoys hunting and fishing.
